Hi Wil
We are looking forward to our holiday on Anglesey and would appreciate any advice regarding dog friendly beach and other things to do.
We are a family comprising of five adults, four children aged 4 -11 years and Ozzy the family dog. We tend to love exploring beaches etc.
We are staying at Pen-y-Coed, a farmhouse near Newborough.
Wendy.
Hi Wendy,
Nice to hear from you. Family health matters been keeping me from the old crystal bucket and so I hope this information is still useful to you.
First of all please check out the advice I offered a recent correspondent on
Anglesey Holiday Tips for Katie. I’m sure you’ll find some places there well worth visiting.
They are as affordable as possible for large tribes like yours and Katie’s. That’s the joy of visiting a place like Anglesey, Nature is our best asset.
There are eight Anglesey beaches with dog restrictions. These are:
Beaumaris, Benllech, Cemaes Bay, Llanddwyn, Newborough, Llanddona, Porth Dafarch and Trearddur Bay.
For more information have a look
HEREThat still leaves you with more than 20 other dog friendly beaches on Anglesey. More if you count the rocky coves you can encounter on the Anglesey.
Have a look at Golden Beaches on the left hand menu for individual beaches.I was writing to another visitor the other evening and pointed her toward an evening bimble to Dulas Estuary.
If you feel so inclined then have a look at my
Dulas Evening Amble page.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
I hope that you have a lovely holiday on Anglesey.
Warmest regards to you all,
Wil
